A genetic disposition coinciding with a physical trauma as a child, has since led me to experience a gradual deterioration of my eyesight. The fragile and unforgiving nature of my eyes has led me to experience an exaggerated sense of fear and vulnerability. A feeling that the ground could fall from under my feet, time warped to breakneck speed, curtains, flashes, and halos, are signs of immediate concern. To see the world through a compromised lens has forced me to confront my own impermanence. By using the photographic process to search in the physical world, I seek a dialogue belonging to my inner world, a dark and sometimes lonely place, but also a warm one.
