Introduction
A genetic condition, coinciding with a childhood trauma, has led me to experience gradual sight loss. The fragile and unforgiving nature of my eyes, has granted an exaggerated sense of fear and vulnerability. A feeling that the ground could fall from under my feet, time warped to breakneck speed, flashes, and halos, are signs of immediate concern. To see the world through a compromised lens, has focused my mind on impermanence. By using the photographic process, I find a dialogue belonging to my inner world. This work shares a journey through the personal and collective, in times of anguish, hope, and reckoning.
